What is the ideal squareness for a comfortable life
Before buying an apartment, each person thinks about how many square meters the space should be, or how many rooms to combine in order to live comfortably. In many cases, your answer depends on the number of family members, their occupations, and their gender. Before you buy an apartment, you should think about all these things in advance, to distribute the space correctly and ensure the personal comfort of all family members.
For some people, the number of rooms in an apartment is determined by the number of family members, that is, one room is calculated for each member. However, such an opinion is not suitable for everyone. Determining the number of rooms is still individual and there is no general answer. However, it is important that the apartment meets the minimum requirements that will help you live comfortably:
- Living room - it is very important to have a living room in the apartment. You can have an isolated living room, although today many people prefer the studio type where the living room and kitchen space are combined;
- Husband and wife room - they should have a separate room where they can be alone;
- Children's room - children should have their own room. If they are of different sexes, it is especially necessary for each of them to have their own space.
Let's say we have determined the number of rooms, is this enough to start choosing an apartment? You may have thought about this question many times, but you didn't get an answer. In this blog, we will talk about the minimum and maximum squareness of each space in the apartment.
Corridor - is an exit located in the interior of the building, which is connected to the rooms. The minimum area of the corridor can be 6 square meters and the maximum is 10 square meters.
Kitchen - the minimum area of the kitchen should be 12 square meters, but not more than 16 square meters. If the kitchen is combined with the dining room or living room, its area will certainly decrease.
Living room - if 2 people live in the apartment, 20 square meters is enough. And if there is a family of 4 or 5 members, the comfortable area of the isolated living room is 30 square meters. If the kitchen and the living room are combined, the minimum square footage can be 35 square meters and the maximum 50 square meters, which will finally give you the opportunity to live comfortably.
Bedrooms - the minimum area should be 8 square meters, but it is better if it is from 12 to 16. The child's room must be 12 square meters or more.
Bathroom - one bathroom is enough for two people, since everything should be placed in one bathroom, the minimum area should be 5 square meters. If 4 or 5 people live in the apartment, the number of bathrooms should be at least two. For example, it is possible that one bathroom is 3 or 4 square meters, and the other bathrooms are from 7 to 17 square meters.
