Colors and their meaning in our home

Colors play an important role in our feelings and mood. The effect obtained from them is different for each person. Their such influence led to the emergence of a new wave in the interior.

Many people do not even know how important it is to choose the right colors and use them wisely in the space.

For example, one particular farm may remind you of certain feelings, but it will give different memories and feelings to another person. That's why designers and home owners need to think smartly about the distribution of colors in the interior.

The right palette

When choosing colors, trust your feelings, not general trends. Remember that your goal is to create a harmonious space.

In order to provide a pleasant impression in the space, there are elements that change the perception of the space without changing the size of the wall. This can be avoided by painting the surfaces, using different materials, or using different coatings.

Choose a color combination in which each color complements the other.

Accents

Accent wall in classic form. Painting one wall and ceiling with the same dark color and leaving the side walls light will make the space look wider. This is a technique that is widely used in corridors or narrow rooms.

Rich and harmonious colors

There are three groups of colors: warm, cold and neutral.

The warm group includes yellow, red, orange colors and all their combinations. Also, the combination of yellow and green.

purple, blue and blue-green, blue-purple tones belong to the cold group.

The neutral group is: white, black and gray. They enter the color palette and change the color of the paints, making them darker or lighter. With the right selection of colors in interior design, you can cover the defects of room planning: reduce or increase the space, make it more or less massive, closed or bright.

Color and lighting

Colors are perceived differently in rooms with different lighting. For example, in artificial lighting or relatively dark rooms, cold colors may not be distinguished from each other. In such a case, for example, we can use different tones of yellow.
